On Burnout 13/13:

How to avoid burnout for ennea 9, the Adaptive Peacemaker.

What drives ennea 9:

  • Need for harmony

How this driver can trigger burnout:

  • You feel overwhelmed by all the different needs, wants and agendas around you.
  • You feel you do not matter.
  • You avoid decisions and actions as they might cause conflict.
  • You work very hard, but you get lost, especially to your own interests and needs.
  • You escape your exhaustion by numbing out. Meanwhile it gets worse.

What is the switch needed to connect to your true source of energy:

  • Be clear on your goals and don't let them get lost among what everyone else wants.
  • Own your feelings, your intentions and purpose. Act on them.
  • Be clear on the cost to you and others of staying ineffective.
  • Stay the course of your decisions.
  • Remember your gifts, needs and even interests matter. You matter.

Unblocking Ennea 9's true source of energy: Right Action: discover what you really want, need, believe, and then acto on that (as opposed to acting to avoid upset).

Don't wait for burnout to take over. Once you are depleted, even healing takes too much energy.

Know yourself. Know what drives you. Learn to connect to your true source of energy. This is where energising gets real.
